Muhammet Öztürk, Chair of the Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters’ Association, stated that Türkiye’s exports of food products to South Korea in the cereals, pulses and oilseeds sector soared by 15 percent from 67 million dollars to 78 million dollars in the January-July period of 2025.
Muhammet Öztürk said that cereals, pulses and oilseed sector holds a leading position with a 47 percent share in food product exports to South Korea.
Pointing out that the historical strong ties between Türkiye and South Korea support trade between the two countries, Öztürk added, “As the Aegean Exporters’ Associations, one of our projects is to organise a Food Sector Trade Mission to boost our food product exports to South Korea. We aim to carry out this trade mission by 2026.”
