30 percent price hike in sacrificials!
Turkish Butchers, Breeders, Meat and Meat Products Tradesmen and Craftsmen’s Federation Chair Osman Yardımcı made a statement about the sacrificial prices before the upcoming Eid al-Adha. Yardımcı stated that the price of kilograms was determined from 62 TL for small cattle and 65 TL for cattle and that the price of sacrificial animals was increased by 25-30 percent compared to last year.
Pointing out that as the Eid al-Adha approached, the rhetoric of “no sacrificials” was always made, Yardımcı underlined that such a situation does not exist.
Noting that the kilogram price of livestock was determined as 62 TL for sheep and 65 TL for cattle this year, Osman Yardımcı said, “Let our citizens go and get their sacrificials in peace. But slaughtering, dividing and dismembering the sacrificial is subject to a separate fee. Of course, the price of cutting and shredding is negotiable. This will be a support to our producers.”
