EXPERTS; EAT VEGETABLES, BE HAPPY!

Eating enough vegetables increases well-being and happiness. Because vegetables contain a variety of nutrients that support overall physical health.

Vegetables contain numerous micronutrients critical for optimal mental function, such as zinc, magnesium, folate and iron. They also contain antioxidants that protect the body against oxidative stress associated with depression and anxiety.

In the new study, researchers wanted to see if they could detect an effect on happiness and psychological well-being based on the number of vegetables people consumed.

To test this, the researchers recruited 75 participants between the ages of 18 and 65 who had habitually low vegetable intakes. These participants were divided into test and control groups.

It is stated that the vitamins and phytochemicals in vegetables have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects that positively affect psychological well-being. That said, more research is needed to fully understand the impact of eating vegetables on psychological well-being.
