Turkey earned 2.26 billion dollars from hazelnut exports last year, a regional trade association said on Monday.
In its statement, the Black Sea Hazelnut and Products Exporters’ Association (KFMİB) emphasized that a new record was broken by reaching the highest level in the history of the Republic with 344 thousand 370 tonnes of exports.
The country exported 344,379 tonnes of hazelnut to 122 countries in 2021, said the Black Sea Hazelnut and Hazelnut Products Exporters’ Union, the highest in the republic’s history.
Turkey is the world’s largest hazelnut exporter.
