Erkunt Tractor Domestic Sales Manager Yiğit Kosova stated that they had two good years as an industry both last year and in 2020.
Expressing that agricultural products found value with the increase in food need after the epidemic and that the farmer evaluated all of his crop in the market, Kosova said, “As a result, in 2020 and 2021, the sector reached sales figures that it has not seen for a long time.”
Noting that despite all these, they had various supply problems in the last two years, especially the problem of chips and glass affected the production and they could not fully respond to the demand, Kosova reminden that the demand still continue.
Kosovo, however, emphasized that there is a talk that the chip supply problem will be completely resolved by September.
Pointing out that it seems difficult for them to produce tractors to meet the demand despite this, Kosova added, “If we look at sales in terms of January, there is no problem. The supports announced by the government, diesel supports and credit supports are very good. Together with them, we think that the sales will actually be around 64 thousand, like last year.”
