Eskinazi: Our target in the export of fresh fruits, vegetables and products is 5 billion dollars
Pointing out that Turkey is among the major players in the world with its 55 million tonnes of fresh fruit and vegetable production, Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB) Coordinator Chairperson Jak Eskinazi said that Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association (EYMSİB) broke the export record of its 54-year history with its exports of 1 billion 40 million dollars in 2020.
Underlining that the Turkish fresh fruit, vegetable and fruit and vegetable products sectors have not only met the fruit and vegetable needs of our 84 million citizens during the pandemic process, but also earned 4.5 billion dollars to all over the world, Eskinazi said, “We held this meeting in Turkey’s pride in fresh fruit and vegetable sector Uçak Kardeşler Limited Company. We have shown our thanks to our farmers and exporters in our Aegean Region for their outstanding efforts during the pandemic process by doing it at the facilities of this company. I believe with all my heart that our fresh fruit, vegetable and products sectors will export more than 5 billion dollars in 2021.”
EIB Coordinator Jak Eskinazi also stated that the Aegean Exporters’ Associations’ Chairpersons Board met physically for the first time after a long time due to the pandemic and concluded his words as follows: “We are exporting fresh fruit and vegetables produced in our country at our facilities in various regions of Turkey and exporting them to all over the world. As for Uçak Kardeşler Limited Company, I wish success to this company in export life. We had held our EIB Board of Chairmen Meetings in our exporting companies before and we will continue to hold meetings in our exporting companies in the next period.
