Veysel Memiş, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mediterranean Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters’ Association (AHBİB), announced that they exported 184.4 million dollars in February with a hike of 29 percent compared to the same period last year.
Stating that the countries they exported the most in February were Iraq, Syria and the USA, Veysel Memiş said, “We reached 4-digit figures in export volume in the USA, Nigeria, Taiwan, Indonesia, Lithuania and Pakistan markets.”
“We marked Dubai Gulfood Fair with a double organisation”
Pointing out that AHBİB member exporters continue to make important moves to enhance their export performance in global markets and strengthen their competitiveness, he noted, “In this context, we successfully carried out a double organisation in Dubai Gulfood, one of the world’s largest food fairs, in February.”
“We organised two simultaneous organisations at the Dubai Gulfood Fair, where companies aiming to be more effective in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia markets through Dubai, which is the largest of the 7 emirates of the United Arab Emirates and the most important trade and financial centre of the region. Thirty AHBİB member companies opened stands and introduced their products at the Dubai Gulfood International Food Fair held at the Dubai World Trade Centre between 19-23 February. 22 AHBIB member companies carried out marketing activities within the scope of the Development of International Competitiveness (UR-GE) Project,” he added…
