Mediterranean Exporters’ Associations (AKIB) Coordinator Chair Veysel Memiş announced that they realized 1.31 billion dollars of exports in April. Stating that they achieved a 1 percent increase in export performance in the fourth month of the year compared to the same period of the previous year, Veysel Memiş also reported that they achieved the highest values in the Iraq, Romania and Italian markets and that they achieved the strongest acceleration in foreign sales volume in the Bulgaria, France and Italian markets.

Veysel Memiş, who emphasized that they carefully follow the uncertainties and increasing protectionist tendencies in global trade and aim to minimize potential risks and evaluate opportunities in favour of Türkiye, said, “Fluctuations in world markets and disruptions in supply chains have made the production and logistics power of Mediterranean exporters more visible. Many importing countries, especially in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East, are turning to Türkiye in search of a reliable supply point.”
Pointing out that as AKIB, they offer strong alternatives in these markets thanks to their high quality standards, on-time delivery assurance and strategic geographical location, he added, “While boosting demands cause our exporters to knock on their doors more frequently, they also prove once again that Türkiye is a rising economic actor even in times of crisis. We will continue to work with all our might to enhance this momentum even more in the upcoming period and to achieve our country’s export targets.”
