During his visit to Beijing, Minister of Trade Ruhsar Pekcan recalled that 25 tons of Turkish cherry entered China after a long period of time and said that pistachio nuts are also allowed to be sold to this country.
39 companies to sell pistachios to China…
Pekcan, thanks to this beautiful development of pistachio exporters opened a new market of 2.8 dollars billion, expressing that as of now, 39 companies that meet the technical requirements of pistachio nuts are able to sell this product to China.
Pekcan pointed out that in order to increase the number of companies, manufacturers and industrialists should improve their conditions and they provide supports to exporters on many issues such as market entry certificate, fair participation, establishment of foreign units, brand and promotion supports.
Pistachio exports worth 72 dollars million annually…
Turkey Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) data, as of last year in Turkey shelled and unshelled pistachio exports were realized as 72 million dollars, just in 5 months of this year exceeded the 52.6 million dollars.
Last year, the highest export of shelled and unshelled pistachios to Italy was 29.5 million dollars, while Germany, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Portugal and Israel were among the countries that preferred Turkish pistachios.
