TURKISH PINE NUT EXPORTS ROSE TO 38.6 MILLION DOLLARS IN 11 MONTHS…

Turkey’s pine nut exports rose to 38 million 623 thousand dollars in 11 months with an increase of 55 percent compared to the same period last year.

According to data compiled from the Aegean Exporters’ Associations, Turkey’s 2018 exports of pine nuts was recorded as 26 million 511 thousand dollars. In 2019, pine nut exports rose to 28 million 739 million dollars.

In 11 months of this year, pine nut exports increased by 55 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and realized as 38 million 523 thousand dollars from 24 million 953 thousand dollars. On the basis of quantity, it increased from 455 tonnes to 606 tonnes with an increase of 33 percent.

Italy led the way in export growth. During the period in question, exports to Italy increased by 93 percent, reaching 29 million 634 thousand from 15 million 353 thousand dollars. This country was followed by Germany with 4 million 907 thousand dollars and Spain with 1 million 636 thousand dollars.
