Muhammet Öztürk, Chair of the Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters’ Association, said that Türkiye exported 708 million dollars to the USA in the cereals, pulses, oil seeds and products sector in 2022, a surge of 28 percent compared to the previous year.
“The most important product groups in exports to the USA are sugar, milling and vegetable oils, and these three groups account for 52 percent of total exports. However, there is a remarkable increase in the exports of oil seeds and food preparations product group in the US market. While exports to the US market rose by 10 percent in 2022 compared to the previous year and totalled 23 million dollars, 29 percent of the exports made from Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters’ Association, to the USA are from cereal products,” he said.
“The most exported products in this product group are wafer and leaf rolls. Food preparations, spices and vegetable oils are the other most important export product groups in US exports,” he added…
