Turkish food sector prepares to take part in Summer Fancy Food Show, the largest food fair of the USA, with 39 companies.

Summer Fancy Food Fair, which will take place in New York between 23-25 ​​June 2019, will open its doors for the 65th time this year.

Aegean Exporters’ Union Vice President Coordinator Birol Celep, indicating that they have successfully organized Fancy Food Fair Turkey National Participation for 22 times since 1998.

Birol Celep said, “We will attend with 39 Turkish companies that each of them produces delicious and high quality food products to be promoted to American buyers with various activities and participants from all over the world.”

2 billion dollars share in food imports of USA…

Voicing the message that as being a major food supplier along with diversity and quality in production design with all the promotional activities to be held during the exhibition, Birol Celep said, “United States import almost 150 billion dollars of food products. We want to get at least 2 billion dollars from this amount. Summer Fancy Food Fair is a very valuable event in terms of achieving this goal. Turkey currently makes an export of agrifood products amount to 927 million dollars to the United States. Maybe this is a good performance but not enough for us since it doesn’t reflect the real potential of Turkish food industry. Turkish exporters are determined to boost this performance. That’s why we will be taking part in a total area of ​​539 m2 and hold tasting activities that will increase the awareness of Turkish food products all over the world.”

Over 2,500 Companies from 55 Countries Attend…

Within Turkey’s national participation, mainly dried fruits, olives, olive oil, fruit and vegetable products, cereals and pulses, pasta, vegetable oils, some forestry products, spices and also confectionary products will take place. on the other hand more than 2,500 companies from 55 countries are participating in the Fancy Food Fair, which is expected to be visited by approximately 25,000 people…
