Turkish food exporters set a target of 5 billion dollars to the USA!

Five billion dollar food export target to the USA…

Turkish Food Sector Advances to Big Targets in the USA…

Between 2019 and 2023, the total food imports of the USA soared by 35 percent from 156 billion dollars to 211 billion dollars, while Türkiye’s food exports to the USA soared by more than 100 percent in the same period, rising from 708 million dollars to 1 billion 712 million dollars.

Turkish food exporters took this success further and set an export target of 5 billion dollars to the USA…

In order to achieve this great goal, the Turkish food sector took part in the Summer Fancy Food Fair held in New York on 23-25 June 2024 with 37 companies. Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB), which has been successfully organising Türkiye’s National Participation in the Summer Fancy Food Fair for 25 years, successfully carried out the national participation organisation of the fair in 2024.

Turkish Flavours Attracted Great Interest at Summer Fancy Fair…

Mehmet Ali Işık, Organic Products and Sustainability Coordinator of the EIB and Chair of the Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association, said that between 2019 and 2023, the total food imports of the USA increased by 35 percent from 156 billion dollars to 211 billion dollars. In the same period, Türkiye’s food exports to the US increased by more than one hundred percent from 708 million dollars to 1 billion 712 million dollars. As Turkish food exporters, we have set an export target of 5 billion dollars to the USA by taking our success even further. In the trend area established in the Turkish pavilion at the Summer Fancy Food Fair, famous chefs Tom Macrina, Reimund Pitz and Greg Matchett, with whom the Aegean Exporters’ Associations cooperated within the scope of the Turquality project supported by the Ministry of Trade, presented Turkish flavours to the taste of visitors.”
