Şenol Önal Maintains His Presidency in the New Term!
Şenol Önal who re-elected as the TARMAKBİR Chairperson of the Board said, “Our aim in the new period will be to be beneficial to our colleagues, our industry and our country and to contribute to the progress of our industry and agriculture”.
Önal explained, “From total production value to exports and from added value to number of employees, our industry, which ranks first among the 22 sub-sectors in our country’s machinery manufacturing industry, continues to develop without interruption.”
Pointing out that their industry, which exported only 70 million dollars at the beginning of the 2000s and had a foreign trade deficit, started to have a foreign trade surplus with its exports reaching the level of 1.1 billion dollars today, Önal added, “Turkey, which could rank 31st in the world ranking in 2001 and received a share of 3 per thousand from the total world exports, completed 2020 in the 15th rank and increased its share to 1.6 percent in total.”
“However, we should be aware that these values are not enough to be a brand country in global trade. Our most important goal in the new period should be to establish the rules of scale economy as soon as possible and boost our exports to over 2 billion dollars and enter the top 10 in the world rankings,” Önal concluded…
