Results of the project titled as “Determination of the Fingerprints of Some Monofloral Honey Produced in Turkey Which Has a Commercial Potential: Investigation and Standardization of Medical Activities Along with Chemical Content”, declared during an online meeting held by Muğla Provincial Beekeepers’ Association (MAYBİR).
Chairman of Turkey Beekeepers’ Association Ziya Şahin, local associations who provide samples for the project and Ministry of Agriculture officials participated in the online meeting.
“We will create worldwide awareness in sunflower honey with the project”
Delivering the opening speech of the meeting, Turkey Beekeepers’ Association Chairman Ziya Şahin said, “This project, started at the end of 2016, brings the physicochemical features and medical activities of our honey with commercial potential in Turkey to the fore. Therefore, this project will find the answer to our longstanding expectations.”
“That’s why I feel so excited. With this project, I believe that we will create both worldwide and national awareness in sunflower honey,” Şahin added.
“We would like to thank the General Directorate of TAGEM of our Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry for trusting us. We are in a joint effort with both the General Directorate of Animal Husbandry and the General Directorate of Food Control for the applications in the field. Also many thanks for their support to our Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, all Directorates and our employees on behalf of Turkey Beekeepers’ family,” Şahin concluded…
