Hybrid promotional activity attack from the food industry aiming to export 2 billion dollars to the US market…
Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EİB), leader of the food export in Turkey, have begun to scrutinise the United States, the world’s largest food importer.
Aegean Exporters’ Associations, commenced the TURQUALITY project in order to be more favoured of Turkish delicasies by Americans, inked the first ‘Hybrid Tasting Event’ during pandemic.
Menus composed of Turkish dried fruits, which strengthen the immune system against the Covid-19 virus, were prepared by famous chefs from the USA and made US importers, purchasing directors of hotels and restaurants tasted.
Meanwhile Şemsettin Özgür, Yusuf Gabay and Can Erim, Members of the Board of Directors of the Aegean Dried Fruit and Products Exporters’ Association, explained the flavour of seedless raisins, dried apricots and dried figs and their benefits to the immune system.
Expressing that Aegean Exporters ‘Associations started a promotion attack for Turkish food products in the US market within the scope of TURQUALITY Project supported by the Ministry of Trade, Birol Celep, Vice President of Aegean Exporters’ Associations and President of the Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association, said that they transformed the tasting activity into ‘Hybrid Tasting Activity’ due to the pandemic.
Summarizing the work done so far on the Turquality Project, Celep said, “First of all, we shot promotional films with famous chefs working in leading hotels and restaurants in Las Vegas in which dishes and desserts used from six different sectors.”
“In the films shot in the kitchen of the University of Las Vegas (UNLV) Culinary School, chefs prepared their own recipes and menus with Turkish products,” Celep added…
