Şekerbank has received an international award for its project promoting digitalisation and sustainable production in agriculture. The bank was awarded the Bronze Award in the “Social, Sustainable and Responsible Banking Innovation” category at the “Banking Innovation Awards 2025” competition, organised internationally by Qorus-Infosys-Finacle, for its innovative digital transformation project that enables companies sourcing products from farmers to monitor production processes in real-time, transparently and verifiably from the field onwards.
Combining its commitment to supporting sustainable agriculture since its establishment with digital solutions, Şekerbank returned from the international arena with an award for its project that brings all stakeholders in the agricultural ecosystem together on a single digital platform, making the production process traceable from end to end. The bank won the Bronze Award in the “Social, Sustainable and Responsible Banking Innovation” category at the “Banking Innovation Awards 2025” ceremony held in Athens in partnership with Qorus – Infosys – Finacle. The project, which shapes the future of agriculture, was selected from among 53 countries, 130 financial institutions and 320 projects to receive the award.
According to the statement, the project enables farmers to record and share their production data digitally, allows agricultural engineers to conduct real-time productivity analyses and enables companies in the food supply chain to verify production quality on a field-by-field basis in real time.
