Russian Agriculture Minister Oksana Lut said that the volume of trade in agricultural products between Türkiye and Russia amounted to approximately 6 billion dollars last year, emphasizing, “Türkiye and Russia complement each other in agriculture.”

Lut answered questions from an Anatolian Agency (AA) correspondent during the “2nd International Veterinary Safety Forum” held in Moscow.
Indicating that trade in agricultural products between the two countries has remained stable, Lut said that Russia’s exports to Türkiye were slightly higher than Türkiye’s exports to Russia.
Pointing out that the countries trade different product groups with one another, Lut noted, “Türkiye and Russia complement each other in agriculture. We mainly export cereals, oilseeds and oil products to Türkiye. From Türkiye, we primarily import fruit and vegetables.”
Describing his Turkish partners as “Russia’s reliable partners”, Lut added, “We hope that the current challenging situation will not prevent us from continuing our work, our trade and of course, our friendship.”
