While Türkiye exported 25 billion dollars of food products in 2022, the grain, pulses, oilseeds sector was at the peak of food exports with an export of 11.4 billion dollars. The sector alone realized 46 percent of Türkiye’s food exports.

Cereals, pulses and oilseeds sector which is the leader in production and exports, believes that the wounds will be healed in the medium term and that it will re-enter the route drawn for its export targets, although there are serious losses due to the earthquake in Kahramanmaraş and its surroundings.

Anatolian lands are the food warehouse of the world, from flour to vegetable oils, from spices to oil seeds, from confectionery to legumes, from chocolate products to pasta obtained from products grown in 7 geographical regions

As for the cereals, pulses and oilseeds sector exports hundreds of food products in more than 10 main groups to all over the world.

Thank you letter for 1 billion dollars to the Association members…

Muhammet Öztürk, Chairman of the Board of the Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds Exporters Association (EHBYİB), stated that Aegean cereals, pulses, oilseeds exporters increased their exports from 682 million dollars to over 1 billion dollars in 2022 with a hike of 47 percent and that they are the 6th exporter Association that exceeded the 1 billion dollars threshold under the roof of Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB).

Sending a letter of thanks to the members of the Association who contributed to the historical success, Öztürk said in his letter of appreciation; “As EHBYİB, we are experiencing the joy and pride of having boosted our exports to the level of 1 billion dollars by rising our exports approximately 4 times in 10 years, while we exported only 280 million dollars 10 years ago.”

“We will continue to work, produce and export with all our strength in order to ramp up the export volume of 1 billion dollars, which we have reached thanks to you, our esteemed members and industry stakeholders, who contribute to this outstanding export success of our industry and to break new records in the upcoming periods,” he added.

“I would like to congratulate you for your success in realizing our export targets with great devotion and I would also like to thank you on behalf of myself and the Board of Directors for the contribution and value you have provided to Türkiye’s production and exports to its future,” he concluded…
