Leading export products of milk powder, cream and cheese…
Melih İşliel, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters’ Association, stated that the most exported product of Turkiye’s 438 million dollar dairy product export in 2021 is milk powder and cream with 193 million dollars. İşliel stated that the dairy products industry exported 143 million dollars of cheese and curd, and they earned 81 million dollars from whey and 16 million dollars from oil exports.
Egypt, Iraq and Algeria are the top exporting countries…
Providing information about the prominent countries in Turkiye’s dairy product exports, İşliel said that Egypt was at the top of dairy products exports with an amount of 69 million dollars in 2021, followed by Egypt with 60.5 million dollars and Algeria with 57.4 million dollars in exports. He shared the information that he is following.
China, for which the Turkish dairy industry received an export visa in the second half of 2020, entered the list at the 4th rank by importing 52.8 million dollars of Turkish dairy products in 2021. These countries were followed by the United Arab Emirates with 24 million dollars, Bangladesh with 23 million dollars, Kuwait with 14.4 million dollars, Jordan with 9 million dollars, the TRNC with 8.4 million dollars and Azerbaijan with 8.2 million dollars.
