Seedless raisins closed the 2023/24 season with exports of 490 million dollars…
Seedless raisin exports reached 207 thousand tonnes…
The 2023/24 season of seedless raisins, one of the traditional export products in which Türkiye is the world leader in production and exports, was completed with exports of 490 million dollars with an 11 percent increase compared to the previous season. Seedless raisin exports were recorded as 439 million dollars in the 2022/23 season.
Despite the 11 percent rise in foreign exchange earnings in seedless raisins, exports in terms of quantity decreased by 20 percent from 259 thousand tonnes to 207 thousand tonnes. The fall in seedless raisin yield was effective in this decrease.
Mehmet Ali Işık, Chair of the Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters‘ Association, stated that exports of 207 thousand tonnes in the 2023/24 season were recorded as the lowest seedless raisin exports in terms of quantity in the last 8 years.

Işık said that the seedless raisin yield in the 2023/24 season was 100 thousand tonnes below the average of many years and gave clues that the yield in the 2024/25 season will remain below the average of the previous seasons…
