The company, which operates at its facilities in the Kemalpaşa district of Izmir province with a daily processing capacity of 450,000 chickens, has chosen Kahramanmaraş region for its new investment in line with its growth targets.
The facility will be established in the city with an investment of 130 million euros, in line with the company’s export targets to Middle Eastern countries as well as the Turkish market. Within this scope, the feed and hatchery investment will be implemented in the Türkoğlu district, while the slaughterhouse investment will be implemented in the Dulkadiroğlu district.

Mesut Ergül, General Manager of Lezita Abalıoğlu, stated in an interview with Anatolian Agency (AA) that the investment is not solely focused on chicken meat production, noting that they aim to create new job opportunities in the region during its post-earthquake recovery process.

Lezita Live Operations Production Director Onur Karaca also noted that for a sustainable investment, it is necessary to establish coops with a capacity of 45-50 thousand chicks and an area of approximately 3 thousand square metres, which requires an average investment of 600 thousand dollars.
Karaca stated that the company would cover the costs of chicks, feed, veterinary services and logistics, while the farmers would cover the operating and labour costs, adding that the investment was expected to pay for itself in approximately six years…
