Birol Celep, Member of the Board of Directors of Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TIM) and Member of the Board of Directors of Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association, said that Turkish Exporters’ Assembly continues its activities to represent the exporters of Türkiye in the national and international arena, to expand the country’s market areas and to ramp up the export capacity.

“This year we will organise trade delegations to 42 countries. As TIM Agriculture Board and TIM Gastronomy, we aim to create a project to promote the Turkish food sector as a whole and to increase the prestige of Turkish products. We are holding negotiations before the Ministry,” he said.
Pointing out that currently, grape prices are around 3 thousand dollars, he explained, “This is related to the supply demand of the product. It is very honouring that Turkish grapes are at the level of 3 thousand dollars in grapes, which are in the band of 2 thousand 500 dollars in South Africa. Apricots and figs are also our prestige products. They are going up to 9-10 dollars.”
