Young people and exporters join forces in innovation…

As a preparation for Türkiye Innovation Week, approximately 20 students with innovative projects who are members of InovaTIM selected by TIM (Turkish Exporters’ Assembly) and the Chairmen and Boards of Directors of the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB) came together at IzQ in Izmir for “TIW24 Anatolian Meetings”.

Jak Eskinazi

Jak Eskinazi, Coordinator Chair of the Aegean Exporters‘ Associations, said that the increasing interest and valuable participation in the ”Türkiye Innovation Week Anatolian Meetings’ organised since 2015 makes us extremely happy.

“Because innovation feeds on communities, collaborations and diversity. Switzerland ranks first in R&D expenditures for 12 years in a row, setting an example for the whole world in innovation. The US invested 42.5 billion dollars in artificial intelligence in 2023. Last year, almost half of global artificial intelligence deals took place in the US. A 1 trillion dollar artificial intelligence cluster is being created in Silicon Valley in the next decade. South Korea spends 4.8 percent of its GDP on research and development. It is one of the countries with the highest R&D expenditure in the world,” he said.

European Union increases investments in sustainable technologies all over the world with Green Deal…

Emphasizing that Germany accelerated digital transformation in production processes by introducing the concept of “Industry 4.0” to the world literature, he added, “At the same time, the goal of becoming a carbon neutral continent by 2050 with the Green Deal across the European Union has ramped up investments in renewable energy and sustainable technologies all over the world. The world is making tremendous strides in artificial intelligence. According to the World Economic Forum, 30 percent of global GDP will come from artificial intelligence and digital technologies by 2030. This means an economic growth of trillions of dollars.”
