Dr. Kenan Yalvaç, Secretary General of the Turkish Seed Industry Association (TÜRKTED), announced that The 2025 World Seed Congress of the International Seed Federation (ISF) will be held in Istanbul on 19-21 May 2025 in cooperation with the sector representatives Sub Union of Seed Industrialists and Producers (TSÜAB) and Turkish Seed Industry Association (TÜRKTED). The Congress Flag was handed over to the Turkish Delegation at the 2024 Congress held in Rotterdam.
“As a result of the policies implemented by our Ministry, it is very important that our seed sector, which has made great progress in the last 22 years, is promoted abroad with such international activities,” Dr. Yalvaç said.
Pointing out that in this success, the power of both the country and Turkish seed sector, as well as the impact of the first ISF Congress organised in Antalya in 2009, can be clearly seen, Dr. Yalvaç noted, “We will prepare for the 2025 congress in the best way and organise this congress successfully.”
Highlighting that on this occasion, they would like to share another good news with the public opinion, Dr. Yalvaç added, “Our sector representatives TÜRKTOB and TÜRKTED have applied together to organise the 2026 Congress of the Asia Pacific Seed Growers Association (APSA) in Antalya. In order to explain our application and our capacity in detail, a very useful meeting was held in Rotterdam with the participation of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of APSA and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TÜRKTOB and TÜRKTED.”
“The capacity of our country to organise international congresses, all kinds of advantages of Antalya region and the strength of our sector are the most advantageous points for the APSA Congress to be held in Antalya. Our preparations are in progress and the final decision will be made at the APSA General Assembly in December,” Dr. Yalvaç concluded…
