Pınar Süt Chairman of the Board İdil Yiğitbaşı celebrated 1 June World Milk Day and said, “The world now prefers reliable products.”
İdil Yiğitbaşı, Chairman of Pınar Dairy Products Industry Inc., said, “Since the foundation we have aimed to bring people together with healthy milk, along with consumers in 28 countries across the world. When we examine the consumption habits in the world recently, we can see that people turn to hygienic packaged products produced without touching and reliable products are preferred. The demand of our consumers for packaged dairy products increased by 16.8 percent in March-April 2020.”
Pınar Dairy Inc., located in İzmir province of Turkey, introduced hygienic packaged milk with Turkish consumers since its founding in 1973, has been supplying reliable products to consumers. Stating that while the epidemic affecting the world and the global economy, İdil Yiğitbaşı noted, “Pınar Süt continues to bring products of Turkish farmers together with the world and will continue to contribute to Turkish economy. Pınar Süt, which reached an export figure of over 43 million dollars in 2019, also attained its targets in the first quarter of 2020. Re-exporting to Georgia in 2020, Pınar Süt has become one of the brands that have received export permits in China as well.”

İdil Yiğitbaşı, who made explanations about Pınar’s activities on food safety due to June 1, World Milk Day, added, “Pınar Süt Quality Criteria that we apply in all our products enables us to offer healthy and reliable products to our consumers. Today, we process healthy milk that we purchase from more than 18 thousand producers and hundreds of cooperatives in line with these criteria and conduct analyzes at 132 control points to ensure continuity of food safety conditions. Currently, we continue to work for the development of animal husbandry with our investments and producers in the Aegean, Central Anatolia and Southeast Anatolia regions.”
Pointing out that with Pınar Institute, they have provided animal health, animal nutrition and hygiene training to over 7,500 producers in 13 different cities in the last 5 years, İdil Yiğitbaşı concluded, “We consider our producers as our business partners and aim to ensure that all our stakeholders can benefit from the economic values we create with our commercial activities.
