The fight against the Mediterranean Fruit Fly continues to prevent yield loss. Within the scope of the Good Agricultural Practices Project carried out by the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association (EYMSİB) together with the İzmir Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, 2,500 Mediterranean Fruit Fly control traps, provided by EYMSİB, were distributed to 44 farmers in Gümüldür region by the Menderes Agriculture District Directorate.

After the opening speeches of Menderes Agriculture District Director Oktay Sezgin, Menderes District Directorate of Agriculture Agricultural Engineer Belgin Doğan Aslan provided training to producers on the use of plant protection products.
