Mediterranean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters’ Association (ASHIB), which increased its exports the most among the 8 associations under the roof of Mediterranean Exporters’ Associations (AKİB), awarded its first 15 members, who provided the strongest support from Konya and Karaman to its performance in this period.
ASHİB 2021 Export Award Ceremony was held in Konya with the participation of Chairman of the Board of Directors Yüksel Akgöl, Vice Chairman Ali Can Yamanyılmaz and regional exporters. Speaking at the opening of the ceremony, ASHİB Vice President Ali Can Yamanyılmaz stated that they achieved an export of 524.8 million dollars in 2021 with a surge of 81.63 percent compared to the previous year.
Noting that ASHİB is a large family that exports to 126 countries with its 766 members across Turkiye, mainly Adana, Hatay, Mersin, Kayseri, Konya, Nevşehir, Niğde and Karaman provinces, Vice President Yamanyılmaz said, “The fertile lands of Anatolia, the cradle of countless civilizations in history, has been feeding humanity for thousands of years with its suitable climate that allows agricultural production in all four seasons, its inland waters and rich food diversity in its seas. As ASHİB, we have been earning foreign currency for our country by evaluating the quality and healthy production in a wide range of products, from aquatic products to poultry meat and eggs, from honey to dairy products, from red meat products to offal, in world markets for 82 years.”
