“Generation Z has a huge potential in the consumption of nuts and dried fruits”

The International Nut and Dried Fruit Council (INC), the highest consultation platform of dried fruits and dried fruits worldwide, announced the nut, dried fruit and snack preferences of Generation Z in Latin America.

Mehmet Ali Işık, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association, said that INC conducted a comprehensive study on the nutritional preferences of Generation Z in Latin America, focusing on the consumption of nuts and dried fruits.

Pointing out that generation Z prioritises healthy foods containing plant-based protein, energy, vitamins and fibre, Işık said, “This is a great advantage for our industry. INC’s research revealed that Generation Z prefers nuts and dried fruits due to their high health benefits. Generation Z has a huge potential in the consumption of nuts and dried fruits.”

“According to the research conducted in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Mexico, Generation Z has a high consumption of peanuts (99%), almonds (97%) and walnuts (94%),” Işık added…
