FEED SUPPORT FROM THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND FORESTRY TO WILD LIFE…

Press release…

Wild animals that had food shortages in severe winter conditions were not forgotten. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry left 1400 tonnes of fodder to their natural habitats in the last two months.

The General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks, affiliated to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, provides tonnes of feed to the wildlife in order to prevent the wild animals and bird species that have food shortages especially in winter from starving in harsh winter conditions, to prevent them from descending to settlements and their relations with humans.

2100 TONNES OF FEED WILL BE LEFT INTO NATURE IN THIS WINTER PERIOD…

The teams affiliated to the Ministry continue their feeding activities with great effort so that the animals in the wild life do not starve, regardless of the cold and difficult terrain conditions this year, as every year.

In this context, 1400 tonnes of feed was left to the natural habitats in the 2021-2022 winter period, which started in mid-December. In this winter period, it is aimed to feed 2100 tonnes.

The areas where the bait is left are monitored with a camera, and it is also checked whether the study reaches its goal or not.

According to the images reflected in the camera, it is seen that many bird species, especially wild goat, red deer, wild boar, fox, jackal, come and eat the food left in these areas periodically.
