The crop production support model was renewed. Supports were announced for the first time before the planting of crops. The new model, which every producer in the Farmer Registration System (ÇKS) will benefit from, was explained in detail for the 2025-2027 period. In other words, the way has been paved for the farmer to make a three-year calculation.
The Presidential Decree on Supports for Crop Production and Some Other Agricultural Supports for the Years 2025-2027 was published in the Official Gazette. Sharing an information note on the decision, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry stated that it is aimed to ensure the sustainability and planning of agricultural production and food supply assurance, to increase yield and quality, to adopt environmentalist approaches in agricultural production and to enhance the effectiveness of the policies implemented. In the information note, it was stated as follows:
“Support programmes were made more effective and a new 3-year programme covering the years 2025-2027 was created for the first time. Agricultural supports were announced before the production period for the first time. Unit support coefficient value and support amount will be updated every year. With the programme to support crop production, farmers will receive basic support, planned production support and production development support.”
Orientation to planned production…
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı also noted the following:
“With this decision, our farmers will know in which basin, which product and how much support they will receive before deciding on production. Thus, we will direct our farmers to planned production and we will prevent some of the negativities caused by unplanned production.”
Basic supports…
Crops were divided into categories based on basic input costs (diesel and fertiliser). For each category, the support coefficient based on basic input costs was determined. For the 2025 production year, the support coefficient value was calculated as 244 TL per decare. The basic, planned production and production development support amount is obtained by multiplying the support coefficient value by the support coefficient. With the basic support, 50 percent of the diesel cost and 25 percent of the fertiliser cost will be covered…
