Sultani seedless table grape exports targeted at 100 million dollars…
The export journey of Sultani seedless table grapes, the favourite of the Sultans’ tables in Ottoman cuisine, starts on Thursday, 25 July 2024.

Hayrettin Uçak, Chairman of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, stated that the Sultani seedless table grape, which has a geographical indication registration as Aegean Sultani Grape, is produced by 60 thousand producers on an area of 1 million 100 thousand decares in the triangle of Manisa, Denizli and Izmir provinces and noted that grape producers prepare their vineyards for harvest with great care for a year and that all preparations are complete to harvest and export the vineyards according to the demands of the buyer countries.
“Within the scope of our project named ‘We Know the Pesticides We Use’, we are taking samples from vineyards at different points and making pesticide analyses and making a pesticide map of the grape producing regions,” said Uçak, “This season our yield is higher than last season. In 2023, we aim to boost our seedless Sultani table grape exports from 87 million dollars to over 100 million dollars in 2024.”
Russia-Ukraine the most exported countries…

According to 2023 data, the Russian Federation ranked first in Türkiye’s seedless table grape exports with an amount of 44.5 million dollars. Ukraine was the second country with 10 million dollars worth of Sultanas, while Poland ranked third with 9 million dollars.
Seedless table Sultani grapes reach 65 per cent share in fresh grapes…
Türkiye earned 134.6 million dollars in foreign currency from fresh grape exports in 2023, while seedless table Sultani grapes received a 65 percent share of fresh grape exports with 87.2 million dollars. Red Globe variety ranked second with 11.5 million dollars in exports, while Superior, an early grape variety preferred by diabetic patients, earned Turkey 4.5 million dollars in foreign currency…
