Double support for the fresh fruit and vegetable sector…
Just days before the citrus season, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry extended double support for the export of citrus products.
The frequency of analysis in exports of citrus products, which was 100 percent in exports to European Union countries, has been reduced to 50 percent.
Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association (EYMSİB) Hayrettin Uçak said, “On this occasion we would like to thank Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Bekir Pakdemirli. On the other hand we received a promise from Mr. Pakdemirli to reduce the analysis fees from 1700 TL per batch to 1300 TL in fresh fruit and vegetable exports.”
Informing that the European Union is an important export market with a 20 percent share in Turkey’s exports of citrus products, Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association Chairperson Hayrettin Uçak added, “We also demanded that the analysis frequency, which is 100 percent in citrus products, to be reduced. The ministry accepted our demand, so we want to express our gratitudes.”
