Press release…

Işık: “Demand for healthy foods is increasing.”

Mehmet Ali Işık, Chair of the Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association, stated that the shift towards healthy foods in Japan significantly increases, mostly in plant-based and frozen food consumption.

Japan’s largest suppliers of processed vegetables are China and the United States. We invite our Turkish exporters to participate in the Foodex Fair to capture a share of this growing market in Japan.”

Higlighting that the food sector in Japan has reached pre-pandemic levels, Işık added, “Japanese people place great importance on quality and hygiene. Therefore participating in the fairs with products that meet the food health standards required by the Japanese market is a fundamental prerequisite for success. In addition, displaying packaged, branded and high-quality products at the fairs, rather than bulk products, will boost success.”
