According to information compiled by an Anatolian Agency (AA) reporter from Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) data, cut flower production, an indispensable part of special occasions such as New Year’s, Valentine’s Day, and Mother’s Day, decreased by approximately 5.8% last year compared to 2024, falling to 1,331,709,272 units.
Carnations were the most produced cut flower in Türkiye during this period, with a 41.3% share and 827,699,310 units. Despite a 6.9% decrease in production compared to the previous year, carnations maintained their top position.
Cut rose production, with a 5.7% share and 114,431,167 units, ranked second in total production, although this production decreased by 7.2% compared to the previous year.
