General assembly and award enthusiasm in fresh fruit and vegetable and fruit and vegetable products exporters…
Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, which earned 1 billion 314 million dollars in foreign currency by realising 22 percent of Türkiye’s 6 billion dollars of fresh fruit and vegetable and fruit and vegetable products exports in 2024, awarded 45 members who made the biggest contribution to this success.
The 2024 ordinary financial general assembly meeting of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association also hosted the “Stars of Export Award Ceremony”.
Speaking at the general assembly and award ceremony, Hayrettin Uçak, Chair of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, stated that 2024 was a year of struggle for exporters.
“The continuation of the economic stagnation in Europe, the election year in the USA, wars and conflicts affecting the world were the main factors that negatively affected our exports. Despite this, we managed to ramp up our exports of fresh fruit and vegetable and fruit and vegetable products to 1 billion 314 million dollars,” he said.
“For the first time in our history, exports of fresh fruit and vegetable and fruit and vegetable products exceeded the 6 billion dollar threshold in Türkiye. I would like to thank all our exporters who contributed to this success,” he added…
