Farmers have the opportunity to both boost productivity and achieve high comfort with the semi-autonomous automatic steering system that can be mounted on their tractors.
At the 8th Samsun Agriculture, Livestock and Technologies Fair organised by TÜYAP Tüm Fuarcılık Yapım AŞ at TÜYAP Samsun Fair and Congress Centre, technologies that provide comfort to farmers while increasing production were introduced.
The automatic steering system, which provides semi-autonomous driving with the help of artificial intelligence, is among these technologies.
With the automatic steering system mounted on the steering wheel of the tractor, sowing, spraying or fertilising can be done with high precision on the route determined in the field.
Ferhat Şahin, Türkiye Business Development Manager of a company working in this field, told Anatolian Agency correspondent that the system can be mounted on tractors with power steering.
Emphasising that the system enables more planting in the field, which increases the yield, Şahin said, “The system saves both labour force and seeds, pesticides and fertilisers, which have high input costs.”
