Antalya, which aims to diversify tourism and boost the economy by promoting local values, is also establishing itself as a brand in gastronomy with its inventory of local products.

Antalya…
With the aim of establishing Antalya, which welcomes millions of tourists every year, as a key player in the field of gastronomy, the Antalya Gastronomy Platform was established under the auspices of the Governor’s Office, focusing on geographical indications and certification efforts.
The platform conducted a detailed study covering Antalya’s central area and all its districts, compiling an inventory of products eligible for geographical indication certification.
Following extensive work, applications were made for many products eligible for geographical indication and registration. With applications for the registration of approximately 200 products and currently 19 registered products in Antalya, some restaurants and hotels have also begun to feature more of the city’s geographical indication and local flavours on their menus.
