Turkey, reaching an all-time seasonal record, exported 337 thousand tons of hazelnuts. In return for this export, 2.2 billion dollars input was provided to the country’s economy.
According to the data obtained from the Black Sea Hazelnut Exporters’ Association, the export figures made in the 2019-2020 hazelnut season reached the highest export figure of all time.
During the 2018-2019 hazelnut season, 269 thousand 623 tons of hazelnuts were exported and 1 billion 866 million 877 thousand 685 dollars were brought to the country’s economy. In the 50-week period of the 2019-2020 season, 337 thousand tons of hazelnuts were exported, while an income of 2 billion 270 million dollars was obtained.
