Oba Makarna (Pasta), which achieved an export revenue of 394.6 million dollars in 2023, became the leader in the “Türkiye’s Top Thousand Exporters 2023” survey.

Exporting to more than 100 countries, Oba Makarna becomes the most exporting company in the Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products sector according to the “Türkiye’s Top 1000 Exporters 2023” research of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM). Oba Makarna, which became the export champion in the pasta sector for the 11th time this year, rose 19 places in the general ranking and ranked 55th. The company ramped up its exports by 29 percent in 2023 and achieved an export revenue of 394.6 million dollars.

Stating that Türkiye is the third largest pasta producer country in the world, Alpaslan Özgüçlü explained, “As Oba Makarna, we realise 25 percent of pasta production in Türkiye. We have a daily wheat crushing capacity of 1155 tonnes and an annual pasta production capacity of 332 thousand tonnes in our Gaziantep factory and a daily wheat crushing capacity of 1500 tonnes and an annual pasta production capacity of 174 thousand tonnes in our Hendek factory. While this power in production has made us the export leader in our sector for 11 years, it also strengthens our position among the world’s leading pasta producers.”
“7.4 PERCENT SHARE IN THE GLOBAL MARKET”
Özgüçlü highlighted that Oba Makarna, which has a 7.4 percent share in the global pasta trade, exports to more than 100 countries in 6 continents and added, “We bring Turkish pasta to the world tables with our 40 different product types. With over 1200 employees, we continue to add value to our country and our sector.”
