Hayrettin Uçak, Chairman of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, said that ‘Motherland of the Seedless Table Sultana Grape’ is the Anatolian lands.
Hayrettin Uçak said, “55 thousand farming families of sultana grapes, regarded as a healing store, produce in vineyards of more than 1 million decares.”
Underlining that the seedless sultana grapes, a fruit rich in vitamins and minerals, besides preventing cancer, reducing the risk of heart disease, plays an important role in strengthening the bones, Uçak added, “It prevents anemia due to the high amount of iron it contains and strengthens the immune system as it contains powerful antioxidants known as grape polyphenols.”
“I invite all our citizens to consume at least 100 grams of fresh grapes daily. Schools will open on September 28 and I recommend putting fresh grapes in lunch boxes so that our children’s immune system remains strong against COVID-19,” Uçak concluded…
