Aegean fresh fruit and vegetable exporters focused on the Asian market!

Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association (EYMSİB) participated in the Asia Fruit Logistica Fair held in Bangkok, Thailand on 2-4 November 2022 with an info stand.

Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association Chairman Hayrettin Uçak, Vice Chairman of the Board Cengiz Balık and Members of the Board of Directors Vural Güleç and Vildan Akgedik attended the fair.

EYMSİB Chairman Hayrettin Uçak, explaining that 9 companies and 3 Exporters’ Associations from Türkiye participated in the fair, said, “Asia Fruit Logistica Fair hosted more than 10 thousand visitors, mainly from Asian countries. We continue our efforts to find new markets abroad, both with our fairs and UR-GE (Product development) projects and with our sectoral trade delegations. The Far East and Southeast Asia are also an extremely important market for the fresh fruit and vegetable sector.”

“In October, our Association’s exports reached 121 million dollars with an increase of 3 percent, and 966 million dollars with an increase of 4 percent in 10 months. We are currently only exporting apples to Thailand. We exported 200 thousand dollars of apples to Thailand in 2022. Initiatives between the two countries continue for the tangerine product. At the fair, buyers from both Thailand and countries such as India, Malaysia and Indonesia visited our stand. We collected purchase requests on behalf of our members. We had a very productive fair. Our companies will contact foreign buyers and ramp up their exports even more,” he added.

Turkish Ambassador to Bangkok Serap Ersoy and Commercial Counselor Öykü Önal also visited the EYMSİB stand at the fair. Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association Chairman Hayrettin Uçak visited Turkish exhibitors together with the Ambassador.
