Aegean Exporters’ Association (EİB) Coordinator Jak Eskinazi said that Turkiye exported 23 billion dollars worth of agricultural products in 2021, while EİB made an export of 5 billion 100 million dollars.
Eskinazi reminded that EİB is the export leader of agricultural products by realizing 22 percent of Turkiye’s agricultural product exports alone.
Eskinazi said, “İzmir is the place where organic production and export started in Turkiye. As EİB, we have been the coordinator Association for 37 years in the export of organic products. We make 75 percent of the country’s organic product exports from our Aegean Region. We have reached more than 250 products in the production of organic products, which we started with raisins and dried figs.”
“As Aegean Exporters’ Associations; We invest in many projects in the perspective of sustainability with the cooperation of both the academy and our national/international stakeholders. Our priority area is the ‘decarbonization’ process, which takes place within the scope of the European Union Green Deal, which shapes the Agriculture and Climate Strategies,” Eskinazi added.
“Aegean Region agricultural products exports, which are at the level of 5.1 billion dollars today, in the medium term; we foresee that it will reach 10 billion dollars with international fairs such as Agroexpo, which acts as a bridge between Turkish manufacturers and world markets, high technology investments and sustainability vision,” Eskinazi concluded…
