Aegean Exporters’ Associations mentor women and young entrepreneurs…

The second term of the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB) Export-Up Mentoring Programme, which started in February 2023 with the theme of “Sustainable and Green Growth” for women and young entrepreneurs who are new to exporting and who want to take a step into exporting, was successfully completed in cooperation with EMCC (European Mentoring & Coaching Council) and Turkishwin.

Saplings were donated on behalf of 8 mentors and 8 beneficiaries who successfully completed the 6-month mentoring programme.

Jak Eskinazi, Coordinator Chair of Aegean Exporters’ Associations, said: “Our EIB Export-Up Mentoring programme is a mentoring programme that plans to help our beneficiaries achieve their personal and business goals under the mentorship of experienced exporters in cooperation with our Association, the European Mentoring and Coaching Association and TurkishWin. With this programme, we aim to help young and female entrepreneurs develop their networks, raise awareness of the resources they have and ultimately achieve sustainable export growth, which is the main goal of our Association.”

“The first period of the programme started in 2021 with the participation of 18 women and young exporters from different sectors and continued in the following year with 8 beneficiaries under the theme of Sustainable and Green Growth. In the last quarter of 2023, after the earthquakes that occurred in our country in February 2023, the third period of the programme is currently in progress for 14 earthquake-stricken women entrepreneurs who aim to return to trade life in the earthquake zone,” he explained.

“Our young and women entrepreneurs will become competent names in exports with programmes such as EİB Export-Up, and when they become exporters, our exports of qualified products with added value will increase. This requires to become a state policy,” he added…
