“WE SELL TWO BOXES TO 9 LIRA”
Egg producers and business owners said that the sudden drop in egg prices stemmed from the closure of the Iraqi export door. “We sell two boxes to 9 TL. Everybody knows that this is a cheap price. But somehow these prices don’t reflect to consumers directly. In order to prevent this, we have started our service for 2 days in order to reflect this price to our districts in Afyon-wide districts and markets” they said.
“STOCKS MORE THAN 9 DAYS HOLIDAY”
Expressing that there are more than 9 days of stocks in the egg because of the long holiday, they noted, “The first cause of this decline is known as the 9-day holiday here with the stocks, the second is we have managed to reflect these prices directly to the consumer so as to boost the consumption. We were successful in this regard. it turns out to us and our people are very satisfied.”
“EXPORT CUTTINGS ARE BASED ON POLITICAL REASONS”
Noting that producers is now in great harm with a sharp drop in the egg now, they also said:
“As is known, this is the main rule of the economy. Supply and demand in line with the market prices are determined. We are not able to consume this surplus production at the moment of export closure inside. Therefore, we say that exports are closed here, but the reasons for this need to be put forward.
The cessation originates from some political reasons. But you have to run and taking measures in this regard. Otherwise, domestic consumption in our conditions in Turkey are clear. You can set a scheduling within production planning, this is not a very difficult thing. As a result what should be done is opening the doors as soon as possible through diplomacy.”
