Across Türkiye, chicken meat production rose by 3.7 percent in August compared to the same month last year, reaching 237,749 tonnes, while chicken egg production surged by 21.4 percent to 2 billion 40 million 54 thousand.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) released poultry production statistics for August.
Accordingly, 237,749 tonnes of chicken meat were produced in August. Production rose by 3.7 percent compared to the same month last year but decreased by 5.6 percent compared to the previous month.
Chicken egg production rose by 7.1 percent on a monthly basis and 21.4 percent on an annual basis in August. During this period, 2 billion 40 million 54 thousand chicken eggs were produced.
The number of chickens slaughtered in August was recorded as 128 million 675 thousand, marking a 1.6 percent annual increase.
In the January-August period, compared to the same period last year, chicken egg production increased by 18.8 percent, the number of slaughtered chickens by 1.4 percent and chicken meat production by 1.4 percent…
