Press release…
October, 2026…
Alper Alhat’s “Green List” received the green light in the Akhisar Commodity Exchange elections; Manisa’s district of Akhisar voted for another term under President Alhat. Signaling a commitment to collaborative work in the new term, Alhat said, “We will stand shoulder to shoulder and move forward together with the fellow candidates who participated in this election.”

PRIORITY: LICENSED WAREHOUSE
Stating that a licensed warehouse is one of the priority projects for the new term, Alhat said, “The licensed warehouse will preserve the value of the product while enabling our industrialists to plan production and our exporters to plan deliveries with greater confidence.” Indicating that a site at the Ballıca Junction has been secured for the licensed warehouse, Alhat explained, “We have submitted our applications for the necessary permits. We will make the first phase available to the sector as soon as possible.”
INTEGRATED ZERO-WASTE PRODUCTION MODEL…
Alhat also mentioned that the integrated zero-waste production model is among the key projects carried over from the previous term, underlining their aim to utilize by-products from olive oil production across various other sectors. Alhat stated the following:

“The current processes used in olive oil production have become obsolete globally. As Akhisar district, we are pioneering the transition to an integrated model. This is a crucial project, as we have demonstrated that olive mill wastewater—previously viewed merely as waste—is actually ‘liquid gold.’ Under this model, by-products from olive oil production will be utilized in various sectors: the pitted solid residue in the animal feed industry, the pits in the fuel sector and the liquid fraction—or ‘liquid gold’—on agricultural lands.”
TARGET FOR THE LABORATORY; MONTH OF JANUARY
Touching upon preparations for the laboratory designed to meet the olive oil sector’s analysis needs, Alhat emphasized that they aim to have the facility ready by December 31 and begin operations in January. Pointing out that laboratory services would be managed by Lisanslı Depo A.Ş. (Licensed Warehousing Inc.) and that operations would take place on the ground floor of the exchange building until the dedicated licensed warehouse facility is constructed, Alhat added, “The new olive harvest has begun and with the elections concluded, the focus must now shift to the proper processing, storage and effective marketing of the incoming produce. I wish for a profitable and bountiful new season for all stakeholders in the sector.”
