Turkish tobacco takes centre stage in Germany…

Oriental tobacco, in which Türkiye is a world leader in both production and exports, has been showcased in Germany.

The InterSupply 2026 Fair, one of the world’s most important global gatherings for the tobacco and tobacco products sector and the heart of the industry, took place in Dortmund, Germany, from 15 to 17 September 2026.

The Aegean Tobacco Exporters’ Association (ETİB), the umbrella organisation for tobacco and tobacco product exporters in the country, took its place at the InterSupply 2026 Fair, showcasing the strength of the Turkish tobacco sector.

Selim Jimi, Chair of the Aegean Tobacco Exporters’ Association, emphasised that the InterSupply 2026 Fair served as a major gathering bringing together leading producers and suppliers in the tobacco sector. He stated that they had exhibited samples of oriental tobacco grown in Türkiye at the fair and provided information on the work they have been carrying out in the field of sustainability within the Turkish tobacco sector.

Representing the Aegean Tobacco Exporters’ Association at the InterSupply 2026 Fair were ETİB Chair Selim Jimi, Board Member Osman Akın Umur and Audit Committee Member Ali Borovalı. Türkiye’s Commercial Attaché in Düsseldorf, Pınar Aslan and the Acting Director of the Tobacco and Tobacco Products Department at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Mr Hasan Şişik, visited the Aegean Tobacco Exporters’ Association stand at the Inter Supply 2026 Fair and held discussions on sectoral developments.
