A sector board has been formed for the period of 2026-2026 to serve in the fisheries and animal products sector, which meets the world’s protein needs for three meals a day and brings in over 4 billion dollars as foreign currency to Türkiye annually.

Sinan Kızıltan, Vice President of the Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters Association, was re-elected as the Chairman of the Turkish Turkish and Animal Products Sector Board.
Bedri Girit, Vice President of the Aegean Seafood and Animal Products Exporters Association and Ali Can Yamanyılmaz, Vice President of the Mediterranean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters Association, were appointed as Vice Chairmen of the Fisheries and Animal Products Sector Board.

Kızıltan: “Our New Export Target is 5 Billion Dollars”
Sinan Kızıltan, Chairman of the Turkish Fisheris and Animal Products Exporters’ Associations Sector Board, stated that the seafood and animal products sector’s exports surged from 3.4 billion dollars at the beginning of 2022 to 4.046 billion dollars by the end of 2025 and emphasized that they are aiming for 5 billion dollars in exports by 2030.
Underlining that the seafood sector dominates exports, Kızıltan said, “Our seafood sector attained an export volume of 2.243 billion dollars by the end of 2025. To reach an export volume of 3.5 billion dollars in 2030, we will activate fairs, sectoral trade delegations and TURQUALITY projects.”
