The 2025-2026 agricultural season begins in Kumluca; 25,000 decares of tomatoes to be produced

The 2025-2026 production season has begun in Kumluca district of Antalya, one of the centres of greenhouse production in Türkiye. Farmers have started autumn vegetable production with tomatoes on 52,000 decares of land. During this period, 25,000 tomato seedlings will be planted on 52,000 decares of land in Kumluca region.

Farmers in Kumluca, one of the country’s important centres for greenhouse vegetable and fruit production, have begun planting seedlings for the autumn season. The first seedlings for this season were tomatoes, with 50 varieties of vegetables and fruits being grown by farmers in 52,000 decares of greenhouses. Approximately 25,000 decares of land in the district, where 10 varieties of tomatoes are grown, have been planted with tomato seedlings. Following the harvest of tomatoes in January and February, greenhouses will be prepared for production of new crops according to the producers’ preferences…
